According to Twitter, “Moving ahead, we may well use these labels and warning messages to supply supplemental explanations or clarifications in situations where the risks of harm involved with a Tweet are less critical but where people today may well continue to be bewildered or misled by the articles. This will make it a lot easier to find specifics and make informed choices about what people today see on Twitter.”
Twitter will pick amongst possibly implementing labels to tweets or for more critical misleading claims, will increase a warning before the tweet can be displayed (very similar to how Twitter warns buyers of NSFW articles). Labels will also contain a backlink to a Twitter-curated web site or an external trusted resource that will supply buyers with supplemental and perhaps more precise facts about the claims made in mentioned tweet.
In more critical scenarios with regards to misleading claims, Twitter states that they may well even outright take away the tweet. According to Twitter, “Serving the public dialogue continues to be our overarching mission, and we’ll preserve doing work to establish instruments and present context so that people today can find credible and genuine facts on Twitter.”
